Five-hour workshop where basic and intermediate embroidery techniques will be worked on, creativity unlocking exercises, investigation of textile art references and development of a creative project.
Martín Eluchans – Centro Espronceda residency program – interdisciplinary artist, his works include sculptures, lithographs, stages and his latest project Borders and Limits: a proposal where he uses the technique of embroidery revealing a critical stance and denouncing the historical confrontations between nations and how man overlaps. In each stitch made, he interprets a decision and a construction, which in his artistic expression represents management, control and mastery; each stitch speaks of the poetics of advancing, modifying or undoing strategic movements.
Sunday 9 and Monday 10 June from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
