About the artist:
Richard Hearns (born 1980, Beirut, Lebanon and raised in Dublin) is currently based in the Burren landscape of County Clare on the west coast of Ireland. He graduated with a Higher Diploma in Art, Craft and Design Education from the National College of Art and Design and received BA in Fine Art Interdisciplinary Digital Media from DLIADT.
His current artwork is steeped in the age old traditions of oil painting while at the same time engages, incorporates and marries modern and contemporary ideas and themes.
In collections now spanning the globe, Hearns is represented internationally and has exhibited widely receiving many awards and important commissions.
