My name is Cristóbal Cartes, I’m 30 years old, actor formed in Club de Teatro Academy and graduated in Hispanic Literature from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. I have obtained some literary prizes in magazines and state funds. As an actor I have been teaching assistant, theater critic, I was a member as performer and playwright of the Cía. La Guanaca Astuta for 7 years, with whom we investigate indigenous traditions and mythologies, I was also a member of Colectivo La Docena and part of different professional productions. I have also been trained in multiple informal workshops and university seminars on dramaturgy, acting, singing, dance, directing and semiotics. I collaborate with the digital magazine zánganos.org, about arts and activism in Latin America. Today I am studying a Master in Theater Studies at the Institut del Teatre/UAB in Barcelona. In Chile, my friends are rehearsing my dramaturgy Corps of God, awarded project from the Performing Arts Fund of the Ministry of Cultures, to be released in June.
