
ECHO Academy – Barcelona: Campaign Design Sprint Week: A week of creativity and commitment
From March 24 to 28, ESPRONCEDA hosts an intense week of collaborative work, exploration, and campaign design focused on climate change. We will have the participation of experts from various disciplines who will guide participants in developing their projects.
Closing Event – Friday, March 28
At the end of the week, participants will present their campaigns to a group of peers and receive feedback in a special session open to the public.

Detailed Program
Monday, March 24 – Introduction & Inspiration
Objective: Understand the project goals and explore the relationship between democracy and culture.

- 11:00 AM – Lecture & Q&A with Joan Buades (Extinction Rebellion)
Joan Buades (Inca, 1963) is a writer and critical researcher on tourism, globalization, and the climate crisis. He was a language and literature professor until his retirement, first in the Balearic Islands and, since 2016, in Catalonia. From 1999 to 2003, he was a member of the Parliament of the Balearic Islands with Els Verds de Eivissa, where he promoted the creation of the ecotax on tourism. He contributes to the journalistic platform Crític.cat and is a member of environmental organizations like Rebel·lió o Extinció and ADENC. He is also part of the Climate Emergency Committee of PEN Català. - 12:00 PM – Presentation of inspiring campaigns

- 4:00 PM – Lecture & Q&A with Chiara Sgaramella (Art & Eco-Social Justice)
Chiara Sgaramella is an artist and researcher working at the intersection of art, eco-social issues, and critical pedagogies. Her research explores how artistic practice can contribute to creating more just and ecological forms of social coexistence. - 5:00 PM – Day reflection
Wednesday, March 26 – Campaign Design
Objective: Explore communication strategies for campaigns.

Àlex Ginés is an innovation specialist with extensive experience in immersive technologies. He has worked on various projects related to media, culture, and heritage. One of his main interests is bringing innovative projects closer to the public. - 11:00 AM – “Moonshot” exercise: imagining maximum impact
- 2:00 PM – Campaign design workshop

Thursday, March 27 – Planning & Development
Objective: Establish action plans and define logistics.
- 9:30 AM – Lecture & Q&A with Dario Cottafava (Social Impact Management)
Dario Cottafava is a transdisciplinary researcher and systems thinker at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His work explores post-growth solutions at the intersection of circular economy and social innovation. - 11:00 AM – Reflection on individual and group goals

Friday, March 28 – Campaign Construction & Final Presentation
Objective: Finalize campaign prototypes and share ideas with an external audience.
